Frequently asked questions

Do I need planning permission for a new driveway?

Driveways using permeable surfaces (resin, permeable block paving) generally do not need planning permission. Impermeable surfaces over 5m² do require permission unless drainage to a soakaway is provided. We advise on this before quoting.

How long does a driveway installation take?

A standard residential driveway takes 2–5 days depending on size and material. Resin driveways require a curing period before use.

What is the best driveway surface?

It depends on your budget, aesthetic preferences and drainage requirements. Block paving is very durable and repairable; resin is low-maintenance and permeable; porcelain is premium and long-lasting. We help you choose at the survey stage.
